Idea
01One minute of video, everything to read up on.
Pluto Year explains in short videos on TikTok and YouTube how everyday technology works. The website is the archive: every episode with a summary, sources and image credits.
Designed as a photocopied zine: toner on off-white, highlighter yellow, peelable stickers, a ballpoint as the cursor. The spread turns as one scrolls, and a magnifier reveals the colour original beneath the halftone.
Idea
The video is over in a minute. The website keeps what lies behind it: the sources.

Process
02New episode, new page.
Every episode publishes itself: a script reads title, summary, sources and images from the video production and builds the episode page, released on the episode’s date.
Paper, toner and grain are prepared textures, and the heavier effects load later. So the zine stays smooth on mobile, too.

In numbers
0392
out of 100 in the mobile loading-speed test, the minimum on every page.
0
manual steps per new episode.
2
layouts: a spread on desktop, a swipe sheet on mobile.
